About a month ago I acquired two hibiscus plants as well as a plumeria plant from friends. Not only were they free but they are also some of my favorite plants/flowers.
I don’t know about you but sometimes it’s the simplest things that excite me.
I took this picture a couple weeks ago when I was in my backyard soaking up the sun. Let’s fast forward to this past weekend. Stepping out to my backyard with my puppies I realized that since I took this picture there has not been another flower that has blossomed.
Some thoughts came to mind while looking at that beautiful flower. I’m only going to share one of them at this time.
There’s one plant but many leaves and buds, right? That one blossom just reminded me that we all grow at different rates. Just because one blossomed first doesn’t mean the other buds are no good, it only means they require more time.
That is the same process with all of us. This life should not be a competition in who “grows up” first. In this life we should not compare our successes or even our failures with others.
We all require different timing to grow into what we’re called to do. Not to mention we all learn differently, methods that work for one may not for others.
I’m going to stop right here, only wanted to share a tidbit of my thoughts. Yes this is where my thoughts take me sometimes. Doesn’t yours?
