The last week of July we went to downtown Tampa to visit an event that has been going on since June 23rd, 2017 and will end on September 4th, 2017 called the ‘Art of the Brick’. The picture does not do the place or this particular art justice. If anything I am in need of learning how to take better pictures, smile.
Anyways, the kids and even us adults enjoyed looking at all the Lego art. Yes I said Legos. I know some people are not much for art which is fine although how can you resist Lego’s? Let’s move on shall we?
This red dress was one of many amazing creations at this museum. I forgot to write down how many Legos it took to build this piece but an amount that is in the thousands I’m sure.
This red dress caught my eye for several reasons. One, red is one of my favorite colors. Two, I’ve always wanted a red dress. Three, come on look at it, isn’t it amazing?! There were other pieces that spoke volumes to me that I’ll share another day.
Here’s the website (http://www.artofthebricktampa.com/about-us ) to get a better idea of what I’m talking about. When you go to the website please read about the artist. You will be surprised by what you read, I know I was.
