Don’t just glance at this picture, take a minute and examine this picture of the Indian girl. Are you wondering what her life may be like? See her eyes and how they glisten, her smile, and the thumbs up. What is she thinking? Isn’t she the cutest? This little girl among others touched my daughter Hannah’s life in a way she will never forget.
In 2015 my daughter Hannah (#3- will explain the numbering one day) got the opportunity to go to India on a missions trip. She had always wanted to go on a missions trip so who were we to deny her that chance. Not going to lie we were nervous but at the same time felt peace due to the fact she was going with a group. It proved to be a trip of a lifetime and her life has been touched in a remarkable way. This picture was taken on their last day as they were preparing to leave.
Here are comments that Hannah made about this trip and this little girl.
- she (girl in picture) loved having her picture taken
- love and kindness was shown in actions not words
- street children
- giving them food and playing with them
- waved and blew kisses as they (my daughter’s group) were leaving
Have you been on a missions trip before? If you have please feel free to share your experiences here. I love learning and hearing about other cultures!
